Reporting to a Managing Partner, the overall goals and responsibilities of the position are: 

The overall goals and responsibilities of the position are: 

  • Manage current payroll, benefits administration, and implement human resources policies, programs, initiatives for organization
  • Coordinate bi-annual staff performance reviews
  • Ensure Plum Benefits' compliance with employment laws and regulations
  • Oversee office management function
  • Research and present new opportunities beyond current payroll, benefits and HR related systems
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers on staffing, performance management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, training, and human resources administration
  • Assist in the development of strategic staffing plans and compensation structures to meet the needs of Plum Benefits' growth plans
  • Manage the Interview and hiring process of all staff
  • Conduct exit interviews as needed
  • Respond to questions from employees regarding benefit issues and policy interpretation assisting in resolving personnel related problems.
  • Negotiate, establish and maintain relevant HR and office management vendor relationships and contracts 
  • Develop and manage programs and events to maintain the company's culture
  • Complete special projects as needed

In order to succeed in this position, you will have:

  • Bachelors degree required. Masters degree a plus
  • Minimum of 5-7 years HR generalist experience
  • Skilled in conflict resolution, teambuilding, coaching, project management, design & delivery of effective training programs, and performance management systems
  • Proven employee relations skills and strong knowledge of applicable laws
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Strong knowledge of diversity practices
  • Record of success in changing organizations
  • Experience in developing competency models strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Independent, proactive, accurate and deadline oriented
